I'm sitting here writing this from the passenger seat of one of Expeditions 7's VDJ78 Land Cruisers. I'm tired, exhausted, and quite frankly it's difficult to keep my eyes open, while I sit here downloading my brain before the next days' moments replace my adventures today.
I'll be honest here, I fell asleep after writing that paragraph - Scott Brady holds evidence, a photo of a writer, asleep after a day of exploring Colorado, hands still on the keyboard. For reasons of personal embarrassment - the photo will likely never see public eyes.
Yesterday was one of the most fulfilling days I've had in some time, it was my first full day as part of a major round-the-world expedition, and went through some of the most beautiful areas in the United States. We were lucky that a mild winter allowed us to tackle Engineer Pass and get some time off-pavement, however the unscheduled deviation meant that the Midwestern leg became a little more stressful.
It's been an interesting last two days to say the least, since starting our adventure at Overland Expo, we've driven nearly halfway across the country with only minimal delay no serious issues. Being in the car for nearly 16 hours a day however starts to take a toll on you, but that's the meager price for adventures to come.
