Stuff, and Things: The Hella Rallye 4000 LED

The Hella 4000 is a seriously bomb-proof, well constructed light; even though it's been in production for a while, there's really no complaints with the original design. They've become a staple for anyone trying to get the most light infront of their vehicle as possible. As technology progresses, Hella continues to improve the design. A few years back we saw the 4000 HID become all the rage with groups that varied from Dakar racers, to mud-bogging pickups. Logically it's the next step for Hella to keep progressing with technology and develop an LED version. The Hella Rallye 4000 LED (Street Price - $550-650 per light) looks killer - it features a free-form reflector design and Kartoval optics and can run on 12, or 24 volt systems. I'm sure we'll start to see these on the front of many vehicles in the coming year - this could be the next big thing.

Check out the Rallye 4000 LED in the upcoming LED Light Review in the Gear 2013 issue of Overland Journal.
