Let's face it, pretty much anything that you're doing these days which could be considered borderline exhilarating or even moderately exiting must be on film—otherwise it didn't happen. It's almost impossible to go down a trail these days without seeing a camera strapped to the front of virtually every vehicle or helmet you see go by, and I'm confident in saying that 9 out of 10 of those cameras will be a GoPro. Why? Because in addition to providing interesting wide angle video footage, they're easily mountable and when in their case they're virtually indestructible. GoPro has just released their newest camera, the HERO 3, and needless to say it's going to continue to revolutionize the way people share the more interesting moments of their life.

The new HERO 3 is capable of capturing video at an ultra-wide 1440p at 48fps, 1080p at 60 fps and 720p at 120 fps and 12MP photos at a rate of 30 photos per second. Despite the improvements in performance and resolution the HERO 3 is 30% smaller and 25% lighter while including built in Wi-FI.

The HERO 3 is available in three different models, White ($199), Silver ($299), and Black ($299) which includes additional features and a Wi-Fi remote that allows you to simultaneously control up to 50 cameras at the same time.
In addition, all three versions of the HERO 3 allow you to control the camera via Wi-Fi through an app available on Android and iOS.
