This might just be the best "affordable" digital SLR for overlanders, four-wheelers, travelers, and anyone who likes to get outside when the weather is rough—but still wants to get some great images. The Pentax K30 ($850 with an 18-55mm lens) offers a completely weather sealed body resistant to water and incredibly cold climates—a feature normally reserved for higher-end cameras. It's also paired with a high performance 16 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and built-in vibration reduction. I've been personally testing the K30 over the last few weeks and from the dusty desert of Arizona, to the mountains of California, and the sandy, wet beaches of Southern California the K30 has captured some great images despite my many attempts to kill it.
