Please Help! New to Forum - Desp. Need CV Axles

Hello All! I am new to this forum and am hoping someone out there may be able to help out. I have a '93 Trooper 4x4 and both front axles are coming off. Obviously can't drive it again until fixed and this is my only vehicle. The repair shop told me that I can't just order these axles, that they have to be removed, sent for repairs, and re-installed.

My questions:
1. Does this sound right to you guys? (I'm in Tampa, FL)
2. Does anyone out there have a used pair in great condition they would like to sell?
3. Does anyone know where I might find a new / used pair?

I'm kind of panicing, as my job is about 50 miles away....got to get this fixed quick!

I had a similar problem with the rear axle on my 94 Trooper. Was able to locate one that had been wrecked in the front. The local junk yard sold me the practically new rear end dirt cheap.

For your model and year, the frt axle assy was in diagram 4-12. Try using these part numbers and see if you can get it from the dealer if you cant find one in a junkyard. Merlin at St. Charles Isuzu is awesome, gives a discount if you say you say them online, and ships for free. He should also be able to confirm which axle of those below is yours.

Thank you to both of you!! Luckily I have already begun learning some valuable lessons and I found a local drive shop with a great reputation for repairs....$50 each side!!! (The repair shop was going to charge me $225 a side, just for the repair, and they were using the same shop)
