Because we never get any of the good toys over here. They give all the good stuff to Europe and Africa. :(

The same reason we can't get the Patrol. Market's already flooded.

Good point BN,
They are probably pushing all of their efforts towards vehicles that get BETTER than 20mpg, not worse.
I will just keep driving my Trooper until some more interesting comes along, though I am constantly tempted by a WRX STI with a full rally kit. Yee haa!

That looks to be the same Prado they sell in Australia and Africa, very cool.

I would gladly trade you a Dodge for that beautiful machine :)
I am very interested in hearing more about Spain, and your travels there. Have you ferry'ed to Morroco and then driven in Northern Africa?
Maybe you could start a thread about your trucks and adventures :D

Ferguson enterprises. Been with them for almost 7 years. Jonathan Hanson has come in a couple of times and we've talked cruisers for a couple of minutes.
BTW are you the same Bajataco that was in 4wd Toyota Owner...NICE rig!

Wow, shows how "out of the loop" I am :D I used to spend a lot of time at many of the plumbing supply outfits back in the 80's and 90's - Hajoca, Amfac, Iron Oak, Familian, Canyon, Benjamin, Royal Bath, Winnelson, to name a few. Thought it might be one of those "small world" things :p
Well, anyway - nice to meet you Alvin! :wavey:

Why yes, it is :victory: That was early summer with Shotts and a couple good people from PHX.
Nice to meet you Chris :luxhello:
Royal bath-long gone
Winnelson- hanging by a thread but still there
Hajoca- stilldoing their thing
Familian- absorbed by Ferguson. The store I work at used to be called Plumbers Specialty, a small mom & pop outfit. Shortly after I started we were bought out. Ferguson is the nation largest wholesaler now, 8 billion last year. Not that I see much of that $$$ :(

i think we dont get cool stuff in the states is because you dont really need those rigs to get back and forth to the mall. :lurk:

Montañes, bien Ingles!
En Ingles decimos, "I am 18 years old." Cuando se dice "I have 18," todos en el forum piensen que usted tiene 18 Land Cruisers!

Datrupr-
What about those that complained that the 4runner road like a truck, and where given their precious IFS?
Its just obvious who has a greater voice...mall crawlers! ;)
datrupr

Bluerunner,
You are 100% right, all the mall crawlers and soccer moms are having the bigger say in how 4wd SUV's are being made today. However, most 4X4 Suv's now come with IFS, a challenge that can be overcome with most models with suspension upgrades and the like, but you are right, the articulation is still not there as with a solid front axle. But that is the case with most trucks globally now, so we just have to adapt or start buying 4X4 Excursions if we want the newer models. :D
