So. . . I got my T-shirt today. . .

It's NOT what was advertised, and ordinarily I wouldn't care except that my uncle is homosexual (not that there's anything wrong with that), and the Tread Lightly shirt that I received looks dangerously close to a Gay Pride sticker that my uncle has in the back window of his car.

My new Tread Lightly T-shirt:

My uncle's Gay Pride Decal:

Yeah - So I'm not too happy with this, but thanks anyway.

Got mine today, is exactly as pictured... thanks!! :coffeedrink:

SAR, I'm sorry that's pretty funny. It's the ultimate activism shirt, in fact I'll bet there's a third cause hidden in there someplace! :)

Oh NO! I had no idea a different one was mixed in the batch. I'll Paypal your $ back. I guess you can pass the shirt on to your uncle.

Hey guys... please post up if any more aren't happy with what they received. I'll paypal your cash back. I was just looking to find this gear a better home than my garage.

I am glad that the seller is stepping up to make things right.
Sorry, but I got a real chuckle out of that! That is about the funniest thing I have seen lately :coffeedrink: Thanks for the laugh and lift in spirit :D
I have a sister that does surveying and monitoring for the forest service. Once I wore one of the Spotted Owl Surveying and Monitoring sweatshirts I had been given, to a bar in my wife's hometown. Enterprise, Oregon is logging town USA. I got some very different looks from the locals. Not something I would recommend for someone of lesser stature :D

I can sympathize with you about wearing a shirt that might make you uncomfortable in some places.

It really is interesting the different connotations a symbol or name can have in a given location. Reminds me of the Chevrolet Nova. In Mexico who wants a car named "No go"? Not exactly a good selling point.

I would have been happy with either design. SAR_Squid79 I think that you must be the only one that would have caught that. I watch cars for a living and I haven't ever seen that bumper sticker before you posted it. Awesome that Greg is stepping up and taking care of you!

Hell, I'm gay and I've never seen that sticker before. I asked my girlfriend if she'd seen it and she said no, too. We must not get out into the "community" enough.

Sorry, SAR_Squid79, to get a chuckle at your expense, but I giggled a little, too. From my point of view, though, no one in the gay community would ever think you were "family" because of that shirt. The colors aren't right.

Thanks for refunding my money (even though I didn't ask for it). I hope you don't think I was implying that I got swindled. Just being honest - I would not have chosen to buy that shirt if I had known that's what it looked like. It's just a shame because I really liked the one in the picture.

BUT - thanks for being a stand-up guy about it. I would not hesitate to buy from you again in the future.

:hehe:

Well - The 1st thing that crossed my mind when I unfolded the shirt was my uncle's decal. . .
. . . But what made it even worse was when - without my saying a word - I showed the shirt to my wife, and the first thing that she said was "That looks really gay. It looks just like the sticker on your uncles car".

Hey, I just felt bad for sending the wrong shirt to you. I'd have been dissappointed too... just because it isn't what you paid for.

I'm just glad to get a little garage space back and recouped a little cash too.
