yeah, I picked up two of these this weekend as he needed them out of his way. Now they are sitting on my trailer as 'yet another project'. It looks like you could gut them inside and build a small trailer for them and they would make a great little adventure trailer.

Any more pictures of these? The Craigslist posting is deleted. What is the design? Features?

Sorry, no pix. Maybe hojhauler can post some, and correct me if the following description is wrong...
They were like a cross between a shell and a slide-in, in that they were not as tall as a camper, and don't have a cab-over section, but they do have lower walls and floor.
Lift-up doors on the sides instead of windows, which would be great for gear access.
I also remember that they seemed to be missing the front window (between cab and shell), and had some kind of purpose-built equipment box in the front at the bottom?
Oh, and looked like fiberglas construction.

Once I get them home, I had to stage them on my trailer at a buddy's house, I can send a pic or two. Basically, they are a self supported slide in shell. There is a frame work that slides in to the truck consisting of two rollbars and connecting frame. On top of that mounts a thick fiberglass camper top (a camper shell w/ no roof overhang). The rear door is a lift gate that goes from top to bottom (no tailgate on truck). Then sandwiched in the support frame is a sideways seating system to transport people (these were slide-in's for border patrol vehicles). There are small windows in the front section on both sides that look into a storage shelf and lower bin accessible from the truck with a boot mounting system needed to connect to back window of truck. Also, behind the window on one side of the shell is a large wing door that accesses the backside of a A/C, heating system that was plumbed to the original truck to provide air in the rear.
I don't know if this describes it any better or makes it worse but I will try and get picks. I think the best things about it are the rollbar mounting system and the thick fiberglass shell w/ rear lift gate. The rest of the thing will probably get removed and or replaced.

Dang, I swear some of them had lift-up doors on the sides...
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

you have not lost it completely! There is a lift up door on one side of each of the campers to access the A/c systems. The other side remains solid with the small window in front on both sides....see your not totally out of it, YET???
