Hi ya,
That's my modestly painted Landy above - this thread showed up in my web stats and so I thought I'd pop in and say Hi!

Darrin,
Fantastic to have you here! What is your next adventure?

"Fantastic to have you here! What is your next adventure?"
Making some money!
Then a TDi into the landy and see what happens. If I can get some film funding then through Russia to Mongolia might be on for May, or down to Kenya to help a tree/water charity.
We shall see, in desperate need of money now, so will see what season it is when funds aren't heavily minus.

Hi Graham,
Good to hear from you under what I hope are better circumstances than last time?
Hope your gearbox is holding up ok? Or Trannie as you learnt not to call them! Looks like I might have a TDi to put into mine at last if I can scrape the money together. A top speed over 50mph would be nice....
The dvd has come out well. Or at least that's my version of reality which I may or may not have subsituted from a more realistic version provided elsewhere.
You decide...

If anyone gets the DVD, please write a quick review. I will post it on the main portal website.
The trailer was certainly entertaining :lurk:

Ah yes, I understand. The most effective sources of income have proven to be.
1. Sponsorship with stipen
2. Equipment sponsorship (saves money you would have spent otherwise)
3. Writing (most of the income comes from that)
4. Selling photography
5. Spouse with a good job
6. living off the money from your other career (my favorite :p )

Yeah, my tranny ( ) lasted the rest of the trip and is still going strong. I'm sure a TDI would be a welcome change from the old 2.5NA!! I've had nothing but good luck with my 300. Fantastic expedition motor, and able to cruise at 75mph!!
I'm coming over to England in a week. I'll try to pick up your DVD then. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
cheers

So that DVD won't play on U.S. region (NTSC) DVD players?

c dog,
get a dvd player that plays all regions/codes. They are cheap and worth it if you like movies and vcd's that arent Region 1

The DVD is 'All Regions' so you don't have to worry about what region you or your equipment are in. It will play anywhere in the world region wise.
The DVD is encoded in PAL which is what Europe and many other countries use, as opposed to NTSC which the USA & Japan etc use.
So, it will play back on:
- All computer/Laptop dvd players (computers will play either PAL or NTSC)
- All PAL compatible systems
It won't play back on:
- a NTSC tv or dvd player unless it states something about playing back PAL
(almost all PAL tv's & dvd players will play back NTSC, but it doesn't seem it works the other way round except with newer models)
So if your computer has a dvd player - I'm looking forward to your order! :-)
