Thanks a bunch for the link, Desert Eagle. It's hard to canvas ALL of the cities on Craizedlist to find the gems so the extra eyes are *much* appreciated.

However...this one seems to be priced about double what the blue book value says it's worth. (Nada says around 5K) :violent-smiley-031:

For $9500 I'd only be a few thouie away from just ponying-up for a new model. (And a Hawk to boot!) :snorkel:

I love the build and the features on the FWC units and one of their top selling points is resale value...but wow...some of these units must have been made with GOLD frames instead of aluminum! (Was that an option, Stan? LOL)

FWIW...I'm looking for an ALUMINUM model! :hehe:

This one has been running in our local paper on & off since last summer. He started at $9500, now down to $7900. I've seen it once in a parking lot. I would say it's only a couple of years old and in very nice shape. I think our 'middle of nowhere' location and that he only advertises it in the local newspaper are the reasons it hasn't sold.

The owner is a photographer for the newspaper and those type folks tend to be pretty meticulous. He has it on a reg cab, long bed F-150, so I'm assuming it's a Grandby.

That's neat, I always wondered how people searched all the CL's.

I finally figured out a way to do it though too. Use the Google advanced search and use the specific domain search ie. only hits from craigslist.org. However w/ my search method you can't specify areas and end up searching ALL of craigslist. I did find lots of Africa Twins though! (in Berlin :( )

I'm posting this for someone whom I've been in contact with a few times while I was searching for a used FWC Hawk.

FYI...He is the original owner and it has only been used about 10 nights total.
(only once this year) Evidently the wife/small kids restricted the usage he'd hoped to get out of it and he now wants to sell it.

This unit will hit Craigslist sometime this weekend..8-15 to 8-16, 2008 and I suspect it will be gone soon afterwards.
