View Full Version : Expedition Quality Truck Seats?

As I've discussed in a number of other threads, I'm planning a truck and camper combo for extended family trips.

I'd like to order a base model truck (manual windows, vinyl floor, etc.), pull out the factory bench seats, and replace with four new seats. I'd like to add a lockable center console up front and a 12v fridge (on a slider) between the back seats.

Does anyone know of an expedition quality seat that would work for a full size Ford or Dodge? Any good online outlets I should know about?

Thanks,
Bob

Money no object I would look at the suspension seats use in Baja racers. They are built with give to absorb the jarring of offroad racing and save your back and kidneys.

A true racing seat has a fixed back. The reason being is the recline mechanism is a weak point where the seat could fail under hard abuse. It also adds weight.

Thanks for the links. Do you think the suspension seat would be preferred to an aftermarket air-ride seat? I'll have on-board air anyway.
