Many thanks to John Shotts for taking me on the Charouleau Gap trail North of Tucson. I was in Southern AZ for a little trip and John was kind enough to spend his Sunday with me:beer: I owe you several buddy!
We didn't have time to do the whole trail but we went up to the pass and turned around. John's truck works great and his mods have paid real dividends.
Here's some pics;)

Good pictures, too bad you could not go all the way as it's a lot of fun as well as fantastic views from on high. They say going the way you did is the most difficult. Next time you are in Tucson and want to do it let me know as I know a bunch who love the Gap.

Next time I'm in Tucson there will be more time dedicated to wheeling for sure:) I can't wait to do the whole trail!

Did you add your lift? It seems like you have!:ylsmoke:

I finally got the OME medium lift installed, just before my road trip.
I sat in my garage for 8 months because I have a townhouse and one car garage, I couldn't install it at home. Several Portal members offered up there driveways but finding time to do the install became an impossible task.
A couple times I had to choose wheeling vs. installing. Funny how wheeling always won out.
I have a very good mechanic here in San Diego, who also happens to build race trucks, so it was a piece of cake for him. Also picked his brain a bit about some future custom suspension work and fabrication.

As the not so proud owner of an IFS Heep, I have to say that the Heep stays at home:xxrotflma
