Earth Day - April 22

Is anyone doing anything special for Earth Day? I'm going to plant some trees. Maybe not on Earth Day, but it will be this week. I have the day off, so I think I might go for a hike or trail run.

Otherwise, what a timely thing this Earth Day. I'm in the final throes of doing xeriscape in the yard (http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14083). :)

I am a total "environmentalist." I actually swapped out the last of the bulbs in the last year and saw a 35% reduction. It (unusually) paid for itself in just over one months bill. that said, I personally find Earth Day a little cheesy, I have never really done much of anything for it.. Just my $.02, anyone else on this same page?

I agree, but if we can get people to focus on a day, it will be talked about all week, and maybe they'll even think about it the next week. It only takes a second to have an epiphany:exclaim:
