How are all of you Flip Pac owners taking off your Flip Pac's? I can't fit my truck in my garage. Any ideas? These things aren't light

Too bad it can't fit in the garage. I have a hoist I rig up to remove the WilderNest and that's the only way I've been able to do it by myself. It is possible to muscle the thing off with a couple of people, but it's awkward. The way they put it on is with a fork lift, so there's that option. Nothing like telling your wife you want to buy a used fork truck so that you can R&R the camper. Sell it by saying you plan on using to plow the driveway in the winter, too...

So this is why I ultimately had to get rid of my Wildernest, I am assuming that they are similar in weight. The solution that I came up with but never executed is as follows;

1. Unclamp / bolt the FlipPac
2. Lift the front and slide a board between the truck and the FlipPac, a 2x4 wont be enough, maybe a 4x4. Cut it to length so that 12-18" extend past the side of the bed rails.
3. Repeat at the rear of the truck.
4. Build 4 sets of legs with some sort of jacking device. I planned to weld some trailer lift jacks on top of some 3 inch pipe with a 12x12" base.
5. Put the legs under the boards, jack up each corner, drive the truck out.

Just do the reverse to put it back on.

I also consider using scaffolding jacks, they come in a lot of sizes and are already assembled. I called a few rental places and they were willing to sell me some older used ones. The camper is well under the weight restrictions, I wasn't concerned using something used. If this doesn't make sense, I can draw a picture.

Thanks. I think i can get something to work.

Place boards under the front and back

make some sort of stand that lifts (maybe use truck camper jacks)
