After purchasing my new Rubicon 4-door, I see that there is quite a lot of paint exposed to rocks/gravel flying up from the somewhat aggressive tires. I've searched the web, but to no avail - I can't seem to find some shaped flaps that will protect from flying debris and are made of something flexible enough to not snap off when I drive over brush or bigger rocks. I'm picturing something like a stainless upper to attach to the wheel well, with stiff rubber on the lower part.
Anyone found some really good flaps?
Thanks, John

There was a lot of talk of this at the jeep forum I am on. If you don't want hard plastic, you will have to create your own was the conclusion.

Not sure if you've seen the factory mudflaps - I don't know if they are an add-on or stock on the JK sahara. I can take some pics, a co-worker has an 08 Sahara with the mudflaps.

Why not look for some really cheap flaps instead? That way they can be pulled off when you're wheeling instead of ripping off the expensive molded type, too?
I, too, was concerned about the tires throwing up stuff on the side of my Rubicon when I bought it (was new to Jeeps). However, after more than three years and almost 40,000 miles, the only wear showing is some rock chips on the front of the rear fender flares. The paint is fine. I can live with that.

you could try that clear 3M protective sticker, it seems to work well.

I'm quite pleased with mine and they're at your dealer as a genuine Mopar accessory. Thick, rugged, flexible and functional. Zero wear since the Jeep was new and not one has ever been loose.
