I'm looking for a spare tire cover for my landcruiser. Not an ordinary, plain jane run of the mill one, I want something that would look like Ive travelled the world, something that I can obtain while sitting in my arm chair reading copies of Overland Journal. Suggestions? Pictures?

I seriously was just going to start a post on this. I always liked the Land Rover ones with the animals, but since I dont have a LR...

Rovers North (www.roversnorth.com) is having a sale of tire covers.

There is a land rover logo on them, but perhaps you could scratch it out and live with just the rhino, elephant or safari scene.

They have a pocket in them that can carry some minimal gear such as gloves, ropes etc.

There are some really nice ones out there for Land Rovers.

Here is an example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Land-Rover-Spare-Tire-Cover-SAVANNA-SCENE-CITY-STATE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33746QQihZ021QQit emZ310049424677QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Not sure if you want a LR logo on an LC though

Why not just buy a plain one and tak eit to a local printer to have something put on it. I mean a true arm chair explorer would have a compass and maybe some mountains or something.

how about a tire cover with either the Expedition Portal euro-oval in the middle or one with the compass rose emblem that I just got as a decal?

THAT would be cool.

I'll second the motion to make your own. Buy a cover and have what you want put on it, or make the cover yourself.
I did spend quite a bit of time trying to track down the illusive Boomerang joey tire cover. No luck, so I made my own : Expo post (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=173660&postcount=30)

Nice job!
What about any overland companies in Africa or England that have their company logo or ad on the tire cover (and want to sell them). My searches have come up negative. Anyone have any links?

A spare tire cover with this on it would be cool:

Printing something custom is a good idea. I suppose that is way down on the list of mods.
