I just found out that BFG makes at least the AT in a 33/9.50x15 and 33/10.50x15. Costco either stocks them or can order them, so those of us with 15" rims are not stuck with floatation tires after all.

Yep a narrow tire is hard to find with good tread for what we do. I'm Planning on ordering (5) 33X10.50 BFG muds next month for my taco. I decided not to go to the extra expense of getting 16" rims for the 255/85/16 size which is just a slightly taller verion of the 33X10.50 just in metric size.

As far as I know the only other tires to choose from in a 15" wheel with narrow tread is the swamper but I do not want something that aggresive .

The 33x10.5 BFG muds are great tires. I run them on my Jeep.

No, that would probably be me....i had 31x10.5s and then bumped up to 33x12.5s. I like the stance and ground clearence of the 33s. my suspension height is stock, so at full lock i rub. thinking maybe a 10.5 would not rub...:) and possibly be able to run unlifted, full articulation of 33s? i will have to look further into that....Good Info:clapsmile

I'm running 33x10.5x15's on my '01 Tacoma. Just installed my second set. Got 75,000 miles from the first set. Still had plenty of tread left, but 2 tires went out-of round. Great tires.

I'm running 33x9.50 ATs on 15x7 American Racing Outlaws. IMHO, a good combination for the lighter weight trucks, like the Jeeps and my Hilux. I'm planning on mounting a second set of rims with 34x9.50 Swamper TSLs for harder stuff. But besides those two tires, BFG makes 33x10.50 MTs and there is another AT tire in 33x9.50, but who makes it escapes me at the moment. Maybe Kelly? Just can't remember right now.

note that costco stopped fitting tires larger than stock, so before you order (if you are going to order from costco), be sure they'll do them for your truck in the larger size. i got 33x10.50-15s from them in feb of 2005, and soon afterward they were telling me i got lucky since corporate policy changed.

Super late to this thread, but Sam's has the ATs in 33x9.50r15, I don't think their policy is as bad?
