I just have to tell the world that my Chaser is ready for me :luxhello: , I am as excited as a kid at Christmas. Mario has been a wonder to work with and he has really been nice about keeping me informed about the progress. I have been wanting a trailer that I can take into the desert and spend time with my dog and nature, also I want to take it into the local mountains this summer to cool off as well as find new tralis to enjoy. I know it's not nice to brag but I am just so excited I have to..:jumping:

Where was Mario ten years ago when I started the *long* and painful ($$$) journey to build an expedition trailer? Seriously, if I knew then what I know now, I would called Mario, given him some details, then driven out to purchase one of these and saved myself a LOT of agravation and stress, plus some $$$. I too am jealous!

Congrats on your wise purchase Steve!
The Chaser will not fail you, it is a great trailer, and probably the best you can buy. You know we are all jealous!

For months before I actually saw the Adventure traliers in Phoenix and met Mario I was online checking them out daily and bothering Mario via e-mail. When I saw the Chaser at the Phoenix show I fell more and more in love with it, I have read of those who have them and how much they like theirs and I know that between the quality construction and the people behind it I will have it for many happy years to come.

Way to go. Like Wil said, we're all jealous...
If I had been exposed to the concept of an adventure trailer outfitted with all the goodies, there's a chance I would not have bought a truck.
The next question: When's the maiden voyage, and where will it be?

Mark,
I don't mean to make anyone jealous but I guess it happens. I am not picking the Chaser up until the 14th and I am already starting to go into withdrawls. I hopefully can get away to either the local mountains for a few days or maybe into the desert in the Blythe area, I have been going there for about 30 years and love it.

The Chaser is an extremely high quality product... and Mario is a great guy. I know it has been a great hit - and Mario is going all out to get these built to meet demand.
Enjoy!

I would just like to update this, I went Mario last Wednesday and picked up my Chaser. It has been a very long time since I have dealt with a person as nice and helpful as Mario is. Of course he showed me the workings of the Chaser and do's and don'ts of pulling as well as loading, we spent about 4 hours in all going over things. When it came time to check the trailer plug I had installed he discovered that the wiring was wrong, this was a Chrysler plug and installed according to instructions. Mario being the skilled professional he is changed the wires on the trailer to match the plug. He showed me new products he is developing as well as ones on hand, he even took me to a suspension installer and they worked out a problem I was having with my springs. Being this was the very first time I have pulled, let alone backed up, a trailer I was a bit concerned. Those fears were put to rest when I went to a friends house for the night and was able to back it into a driveway with just a few tries, not my skills it was that the Chaser was easy to manuver. I took off the next day to Arizona and was immediately impresed with how well it followed me, I hit some high winds once into Arizona and the Chaser pulled very well. As a matter of fact I sometimes looked in the outside miror and was surprised by the vehicle following so closely.
I guess what it all means to me is that I have a great trailer in the Chaser and I have met and dealt with a fine man. I can't wait to get the Chaser off into the dirt and use the heck out of it.

Mario is one of those guys similar to Scott... Just a tad bit out of the ordinary (overly nice and a pleasure to deal with). They are both such great guys, at first it makes you weary to camping with them since they are so nice. Kinda make you wonder if they are serial killers or something and take you out to the desert for their pleasure! :hehe:
I would suggest having a stack of Mario's business cards on hand. There isn't a gas station you can stop into with a Chaser and not get at least one person run over and ask you about it. Also pay attention when pulling it on the highway, you'll notice other drivers pull along side of it to pass then slow down to look at it. I had a few pass me on both sides when in the center lane to check it out. Congrats on your purchase, the Chaser will not fail you nor will you be disappointed.

I'm a little slow on checking the forum lately, but, yeah, Steve, that Chaser is great! You're going to love it!
The Horizon I have gets looks all the time as well.
And I am still waiting for the business cards, Mario! (Hint, hint!) I've had several people asking for more info at truck stops, gas stations...
It feels pretty cool...you're a pseudo-celebrity!

So right, there are not many really nice folks out there, I happened to meet Scott in Phoenix at a show and decided then he was a good guy. I have a card, guess I will have to make copies and put in the Jeep. I did get a few looks on the freeway but the weather was way too hot for folks to be chewing the fat at a petrol stop. I know I am going to love the Chaser and I am getting ready to load it up and be ready to go. I contacted the insurance company, I talked to a man from Phoenix and once he saw the site he went crazy, seems he is into camping and hunting as is his Father. He said he was calling him as soon as we were through. I bet Mario gets a shop out this way soon, lots of people from here are ordering them.
Thanks for the kind words..:)

Thanks Steve. I'm thinking about a Tequila flight at Miguels next time I'm in town. Hopefully there will be a parking lot filled with dirty 4x4s & trailers :D
Got the hint Ed. Ripped open your box and put some in before it goes out. Those 30" tall bars should be on their way :LOL

Relax Mario, we will stop just before you can't fit into your hat.. Let me know and I would love to buy you a "flight".. I hope to get the jeep dirty and at the same time try out the new Lowrance, I am a rookie when it comes to the GPS but I have found the Lowrance easy to operate and understand. Also thanks for the GPS site you told me about.

Thanks for posting the picture. I was visiting Mario about a month ago and got a close look at the Chaser and Horizon trailers. I had my trailer custom built several years ago, and it's a nice trailer, but if I was doing it over today, I'd buy a trailer from Mario. They are very well built, carefully thought out, and rugged. I saw a trailer there that had been rolled on the freeway at 60+ MPH, and it was scratched up, but hardly damaged. They guys rolled it right side up and drove on!
Mario is a valued customer of AutoHomeUSA, so I am biased, but he is also a very sincere guy, and a pleasure to work with.:victory:

Mike, guess nobody can say a negative word about Mario or the Adventure Trailer, I sure won't. I can see how they were able to right the trailer and then continue on their way.:smileeek:

Steve, awesome combination! Rubi Unlimited and Chaser....i'm envious. That's pretty much my dream package.
I'm having trouble downloading Mario's pdf file for his pricing, would someone be kind enough to c&p into an email to me? (Rockiehigh@aol.com) Or if Mario wouldnt mind posting it up here?
The few guys who mentioned if they had it to do again they would go with Mario's product vs building their own has me thinking. I just might have to put the M100 up for sale. :Wow1:

I almost purchased a Chaser as it is a great product but was worried if I would get enough use out of a trailer to justify the cost. What I decided to do was get the M101CDN and build my own mini version to see how I like the trailer concept. If it the trailer concept works out well for me, then I will go ahead and spend the money to get one of Mario's designs as they are far superior to mine. The Chaser and others have been an inspiration for me to get the M101 and try out the adventure trailer concept.

Shoot! I totally missed that red oval.
I had the Horizon page bookmarked and never went back to the home page. LOL...
In any case, ChuckB,
No, there are more differences between the Horizon and Chaser than the suspension. The horizon is built around a larger box, has external cargo boxes, optional kitchen, awning, and so on. The Chaser is simpler, less frills, and I believe a tad smaller...and quite a bit less costly.
Send Mario a PM and/or check out the specs on the website.
Cheers!

The Chaser is a bit shorter and more narrow, empty it weighs 700 pounds. Mario has a platform that fits on the side for a stove and is working on a design for an awning. I sure love the large size of the tent, larger than a King and I am gonna love that after the old military cots for years. I just hope I don't go to sleep walking and find myself at the bottom of the ladder.:Wow1:

I believe you are correct on the suspension being (or becoming) standard for both models, but we'll let Mario chime in for verification.

I'm curious about the suspension set up. I haven't found a good picture yet.
From what little I can see and the description it looks like an independent swing arm A frame with a small air bag for the actual suspension.
Nice idea allowing tailoring of spring rate to load via air pressure.
I am getting my ideas inorder for the trailer I am building. I was going to 4 link it and I really like the Air bag idea.

Heck I've got tons to catch up on here! Yes the new suspension is standard now on both trailers (and yes our website is out of date, we're trying to steal some time to work on it). Some folks have asked about buying the suspension serperately for their 101 & 416 restoration projects...First I have to tell you it is not a simple bolt on affair, the welding must be dead on and we accomplish this with factory jigs. I suppose it could be done but honestly I have never seen a 101 or 416 chassis up close so I am not sure what would be the best way to approach the design...we'd have to have a donor to try it out on...
Awning, stove & propane fixtures are on their way, still testing...they gotta be good. We won't offer them until their bullet proof.
