This is a quick and dirty vid I made of crossing Africa. Little heavy on the Sahara and the jungle, but gives a good idea of some of the terrain and events. This is almost purely driving, so be aware -- could be really boreing to some!
Warning it is 135MB and 21min long.

Thanks for sharing the vid with us! Really enjoyed seeing the different terrain/road conditions, as well as the sound of that TDi from the shots out the side.

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed the vids. I have a lot of semi-random footage, and not being a video pro (or anything close) I'm finding my feet with the editing stuff. Slowly though!

We had fun watching it, Graham - it's great for whetting the expedition appetite (as if any of us needed any more prodding) - do keep posting clips!

Graham,
Great video, and it looks like a great trip. I noticed from your site that it looks like you went all the way from London to Cape Town. Did you make videos for any other segments of the trip?
We're planning a RTW trip, which would include a similar route to yours (but in the other direction) so it's always good to get as much info as possible!
Thanks,
Jay.

Jay,
Hey! Wow, RTW! That's really cool. We did do London to CapeTown in 2004 and have 17 hours of video from the trip (along with 6000 pics). So yes, we do have more vid, but nothing more that I have edited and put together. I'm trying to get the web site updated with more info, I know it is a bit sparse at the moment. You can see some of the content that will be going onto the site at www.africaoverland.info.
When are you planning on hitting Africa? If you are planning the reverse of our route, there are definitely some suggestions I could make. You are welcome to ask questions here or PM me!
And post up about your trip!!
cheers

That looks like such a fantastic experience.
It's on my list of "Things to do Before I die."
South Africa to Cairo... :victory:
Cheers!
