It looks like a long FJ40. Looks pretty cool and seems like it would be an interesting vehicle to drive.

The original Land Cruiser, or what a lot of people refer to as "Bushtaxi". I think it's called a BJ75, but I'm not sure about the letters.

A friend of mine back in Switzerland traveled in one of those through the Middle East, the Karakorum, India, shipped it to Australia, six months Australia, shipped it to South Africa, drove through the entire African continent until he arrived two years later again in Switzerland. During the entire trip, not one he unscheduled stop due to mechanical problems, just a couple of flat tires.

Damn, nice find. Thanks for posting the link - it will be interesting to see what the winner ends up paying. There is no reserve. And they claim they are going to add fresh paint and refurb interior... I wonder why they don't just wait until that is done before they listed it?

If they do it first... they won't know how good of a job to do ;) By watching the auction they can... :D

Man it's only 3 hours away from me! wish I had the $ to buy it. Looks like a total resto though. I'm sure there is a good reason why there are no close up pics.
