Leaving from LA area mid-day Friday 6/13 and returning 6/16.
Route is Freeway to Fresno/Clovis, an hour and a half of mountain highway/road to Huntington lake then after 5 miles you hit the 17 mile stretch of single lane road that is Kaiser Pass. The dirt road into the campsites has one paved (underwater) river crossing that is 10" to 15" deep but with mild flow rates. The campsites along the river are privative but but beautiful.
I've attached a few images from this last weekend to wet your appetites, we are headed up regardless but would enjoy the company of others interested in getting very far away from "civilization", taking long day hikes, doing some fishing and generally relaxing in the Sierras.
