You could look at it this way. Ford Pickups do fly, but only 79 feet and they do not land well at all.
Was this on purpose?

I saw the end of the tracks, and the point of impact, and thought, crap, he flew like 100 feet! WOW! In my youth I launched my 1981 Bronco on purpose in a farmers field but I had a happy landing. You, did not. I am impressed that you are still alive..... get well soon.

wow, I opened alot of questions, hehe
I was at work so yes it was a company truck (I do armed security), no i was not drinking, dangit. doing a normal "patrol" and bammo I wake up pinned in the truck, there are several theories as to what happened. My gut tells me that, I dosed off, went off the road, bonked my head the 1st time, and the truck kept going. another is I "might" have had a seizure, another is the "no fear" energy drink. from the investigation, they determined i was doing around 52 mph when the truck got airborne. this was one of those scratch your head to what happened, wish I could tell you but my memory of the accident doesnt exist, and it (memory) is still pretty shot from what it was. thank god for seatbelts and airbags.
Stumptaco, I always enjoy reading your signature, how true it is! so does that mean im still young? hehehe

Thank you all! its definatly been a "adjustment" strong able bodied able to whatever i wanted, now its "hey honey come can you pick that box up for me" or just the general limping around. But hey that is what life dealt me, time to get over it and move on. hopefully buy building my "dream" expo set up.
05'-08' Taco all the fun stuff, lift, tires, bumpers etc etc
King Kamper like Tucson T4R has. I used to go camping/exploring alot, but new baby, (2 1/2 now) and general life has changed that. my goal is do alot more after I am all fixed up. too bad I cant use duct tape and bailing wire. heheh
Thank you all for the welcome and good wishes, it does help the daily drudgery of sitting around unable to do what i used to.
Ujoint, that Vanaconda is pretty badass, how long did it take? and do you have any pics of the inside?

Hmmm, based on the apparent flight of the truck and loss of memory I think we have a UFO case here...

Well, thats good to hear that there were no "dares" or alcohol involved, the pics kinda had me scratching my head. I have done some stupid stuff in my day, but reading your intro (age, family man etc. etc.) something just wasnt adding up. Glad to hear you are healing, thats never fun, but it could be worse right? :bike_rider:
Oh yeah, and WELCOME to expo!

oh yeah they could have definatly been worse Stumptaco! ya the pics had / have alot of people saying what the heck? but yeah the toxicology report from the ER was perfect (as in nothing) the investgators ruled out negligence which I never would do anyway, I take my job(s) seriously. Always figured someone is paying me to do something I had better do the best of my ability. One of these days maybe ill do some hypnotherapy or something to remember what happened. hehe im still thinking aliens,, hehehe just kidding.
BTW, love your rig, very nice build up! any plans on coming back to the U.S.??

I am not sure if I would want to re-live that through hypno! Thanks for the compliments, unfortunately my truck is heading to the crusher soon. Toyota is buying it back due to the frame rust/warranty/recall/issue/thing. Will be building something new real soon though.
Yeah, my wife and I are out of Germany in Oct. of 2010 if all goes as planned. We are over here with the US military as civilians, you have probably flown through Ramstein in one your military stints? We *want* to head back to your neck of the woods in the northwest somewhere, but depends on jobs etc.

oh yeah, been through there many times, but it was mainly to fuel the plane so didnt get a chance to see anything. as far as jobs go, well thats 2 yrs away, but there are alot of companies out here and shouldnt* be too hard to find a decent job.

Yeah, the Job I was refering to is the governement stuff for my wife. She is a GS13 now, and makes pretty good money, so she wants to continue with the government. I run a decently succesful internet business, so it doesnt matter to me where we go, as long as I can get on the net. :)
