I am researching a dual battery sytem, and found on Toyota120 a thread with a nice custom battery tray solution:

This may be a good solution for the 4Runner owners so I thought I'd reference it. They are trying to put together a group buy, but if that falls through I have thrown my hat in the ring to have a turn with the patterns and I can make my own.

Looks pretty professional all installed.

What group batteries does it hold? Is it sourced from a Prado or similar?

He actually had it custom fabricated... check out the models he made before he approached the shop:

with those fine models they made him these:

So he can mount the battery up front, and an ARB compressor behind the intake.

Apparently an Optima D34 could have also been used.
The Blue Optima D31 was to large.

Oh... and he talked the shop down to $250 to fab it for him.

I saw this setup in Big Bear last weekend. Looks so clean you can't tell it's not factory. :bowdown:
