Bookmarking this thread. The videos will explain so much that I can't when I'm asked about the lifting system, sleeping arrangements, the arctic-pak, etc.
We enjoyed the copy of DVD you gave us Stan. Getting it on Youtube was a smart call for marketing purposes. My only complaint is that it makes me want to upgrade to a new model with more options. That's not a bad thing though. ;)
Thanks for posting those links -

In the price list, what is a shell model?

The shell models have an unfinished interior. You get to
choose a few options, but the idea is to give you the
flexibility to finish the inside the way you want to.

For anyone interested in watching, we just completed our first walk-through video.
We wanted a tool to be able to show potential customers our campers in case they were unable to visit one of our showrooms or one of our dealers.
We broke the video into 3 segments for easier viewing.
This video covers our "Hawk Model" which is sized for the full sized trucks with the short bed.
Part 1 = HAWK INTRODUCTION (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doTcVpnBd_E)
Part 2 = HAWK INTERIOR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAvHUM1voUM)
Part 3 = HAWK EXTERIOR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OkoX9ai_aE)
We hope you enjoy and learn.
Call or e-mail us if you have any questions.

Thanks for posting a note.
Unfortunately that was a custom, aftermarket installation by the customer.
I'm pretty sure he has Aluminess build & install that for him.
They are located in Southern California.
here is their web site ...

Thanks, Stan. As long as it's structurally sound, it'd be a pretty slick place to store seasonal clothes, IYAM :ylsmoke:.

I just watched the videos, so is there no lift mechanism, you just push the roof up and prop in in place? If you add racks on the top how heavy is it to lift?

Hello eugene
Over the past 35 years the FWC's have been built around a durability & utility approach.
They have always wanted to keep the roof lifting simple & light, so they haven't used any cranks, cables, electric motors, etc.
When the roof is empty, most customers can push the roof up without any extra assistance.
But if you add gear to the roof (ex: canoe, kayak, cooler, storage boxes, etc.) the roof can be very hard to raise.
We now offer a "gas strut lift assist" option that can make it a little easier for the customer having a hard time raising their camper roof.

ave you thought about making an upside down U shaped support in the front and back instead of the triangular wall so there could be a front and rear window? Ours currently has a front window which is kind of nice, the rear door is tall which is nice but also causes other issues but make a window there would be nice.
Have you ever make the kitchen components removable so they could be used outside like a camp kitchen/chuckbox setup?
I'll spend a month trying to fix up our old camper and then get frustrated and let it sit a month while I look at pictures of yours thinking I should just sell mine and then realize I'm a couple years from affording one and go back to trying to fix up mine :)

Hmm, just noticed you list only the 6.5' model (Hawk) for short bed trucks and the 8' model (Granby) for long bed trucks, do you not support the 8' Granby model on a 6.5' bed? I'm running that way now with our existing camper.
They look a little narrower to me too. I can't get an accurate measurement of the width of mine, so many different parts have been replaced at different times that its not the same width anywhere :)
