OME is working on a lift for the 08, but there is not yet an expected release date

JeepinbyAl is working on a 2.5 and a 4 inch lift as we speak. He also does 2.5/4 and 6 inch for the KJ Libertys

Main problem right now is that with ANY lift at all on the New Libs is that the rear brake lines are stretched almost all the way out just jacking it up to change a tire. Also the brake lines are one piece from the rear to the front so no easy cheap fix there. He is working with Rock Lizard who does lifts/skids/bumpers for the Libertys as well.

So be real careful about some of the lifts that are being advertised as being great but they are not what they are cracked up to be. One is Rock Krawler, poor lift, poor customer service

There is a whole discussion on the LOSTKJS website great information and people that have a ton of knowledge on the older and newer Libertys, check them out.

Lots of difference between the one thats pictured and the "one off" one at Moab in the lifts used ;) ;) ;) ;)

Nice what size tires I wonder. I like the look of the muds, but not for a daliy driver . The AT's will work for me from BFGood.. Just need to know what size would like 235/85r16 but might have to be 245/75r16 with a 2" lift for sure maybe a 4" but the cost for the 4" is insane!

Just heard that SkyJacker has a coil over lift! It will be about $600 how much should a lift like this cost to install? What do people think of this lift? Is 2.5" enough the only thing else is the JBA 4" for $2500!

Installation is pretty easy I have done 6 KJ lifts so far including mine, haven't heard much on the Skyjacker, not too impressed with the one for the KJ, spring rates are the same as stock and will sag like a Rustys full coil will after a while. There are a couple of good ones coming out soon, 2.5 and 4 inch but they are still working on addressing the brake line issue so you will not tear them off when fully flexed in the rear

agree my OME lift has over 70000 on it and lots of offroad and not one problem , worth the wait

Yeah JBA has a 2.5" not not just the 4" I want to put 235/85R16 it will fit but not sure if offroad rubbing will be too much with only a 2.5" lift. A 4" does not give to much more space for a bigger tire as the wheel well is narrow.

If you're going to pay someone to do the install, you can usually double the price of the lift you purchase and be in the ball park of what the total will be.
Lift's really aren't all that hard to install, can just be time consuming. I always recommend doing it yourself, you'll learn a lot more about what's going on under your jeep that way and save a good deal of money.

Thats a bad little beast, well not so little anymore my moms 02's trunk space was all but consumed when I drop my engel 45 in it.
