I found a guy on craigslist selling some new batteries and was wondering what you guys think of it's specs.
http://www.battery-usa.com/Catalog/ups12370.PDF
The guy has 50 of them and is getting rid of them b/c the solar panel project they were intended for was canceled. I was thinking of getting two for the trailer and one for the truck.
Oh, the guy wants $60 for each.

:suning: Too much of a chance
Costco sells KIRKLAND, lead/cell AUTO sizes batteries, with 3 year FREE total replacement, warranty, for $59.99
Why take a chance, I Have two for my trailer and no problems this last summer-got two more years !!!

I understand your concern, but what kind of amp-hour rating do those Kirkland's have? From what I can glean, these have a 100 amp-hour rating.

:26_16_2: My main concern is the WARRANTY and Costco has one of the best
The 100 ampere rating IS VAGUE, with a company known for a different product
I understand your concern, but what kind of amp-hour rating do those Kirkland's have? From what I can glean, these have a 100 amp-hour rating.
It's the COLD CRANKING AMPS and these KIRKLANDS have 900 and over
The more options you can find, the better off we are, but you must consider the MFG and WARRANTY, otherwise it's money "BLOWN"
These are probably "deep cycle" batteries, but that alone does not a good battery make and you're requirement, for the "DEEP CYCLE" aspect must be considered
It's like gambling-take the chance if you want to but consider what I said about the FREE TOTAL REPLACEMENT !!!

I would compare those specs to those of any other batteries that you're considering. They are not starting batteries, so I do not see a CCA rating to be relavent to them or their intended application.

CCA is good if you need the battery to start your truck. I'm looking for a low cost solution to power my fridge and any auxiliary lights on the trailer. That's why I'm asking about amp-hour ratings.
edit: ntsqd beat me to the point.

:rally_guys: I understand you both FULLY
Which is why I mentioned the COSTCO battery and its CCA rating, I don't use mine for my Xterra either, just the trailer-coolers, lights, and occasional heater
It's not (Kirkland) the "deep cycle" battery, but for the price, the warranty, the ampere rating, CCA and construction of it, I'm getting unquestionable service out of it-
This Kirkland battery has reverse +/- terminals and will IMMEDIATELY drop in my XTERRA if the MAIN battery ever fails--what more could I ASK FOR?????
