Wi Fi

Ok guys I have to have email access on this trip for my wife. I am thinking of adding wifi but know 0% about it. I went to a wifi directory site and the picking are slim in Idaho (big surprise). Any thoughts on this.

Get an EVDO card and a laptop. :)

EVDO was going to be my suggestion as well, but I wasn't sure how coverage would be in Idaho. I've been pretty impressed with the throughput on the EVDO connections I've used, but that has been limited to metropolitan areas. I'd also take a WiFi card if your laptop doesn't have one onboard and use a software firewall if you're planning on using "wardriving" tactics.
