2wd but a good price if you act fast. Maybe it could be converted to 4wd.

Hi, Did you post a URL or a picture? I am asking because I don't see one and an Ebay search didn't find the truck. I quite often do not see attachments on this forum (to which I am new). What could I be doing wrong? Does that happen to others too?
Thanks,
Bob

Ooops-
I was wondering, too. Thanks.
The oil in the coolant problem could be pretty expensive, but it might still be a good deal.
Wish I could bid.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
Finding parts might be time consuming or expensive but they're definitly out there.
Who knows how much they actually had in common, but the German army and others had thousands of a 4x4 version with the same model designation.
Pretty good chance you could fix it, build a basic camper, drive it to central/south America and sell it at a profit.
Most of the M-B old straight trucks even as far north as Minnesota were bought up as they neared the end of their useful lives here and hauled off to Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras. They'd piggyback two parts trucks on back of a running cab and chassis, somtimes flat towing a completely rusted out Toyota behind as well
I'd have bought it.
