Recently tested on a 4 week, 13500km, expedition through the Sahara! (http://www.cartft.com/community/Story/sahara2/)

- 256MB SlimRAM 0.8" DDR
- 2,5" 40GB HDD

- Slim-to-IDE Adapter
- MiniKey
- iCT (inCar Terminal)
- FM Modulator

any problems with sunlight making it difficult to see the touchscreen?

Jeff,

It is anti-glare, but I would not say completely daylight readable. Hanging from the roof it is good though, and meets my expectations.

Did you end up making a bracket to hang it there or did you use the existing mounts for the old mirror/light thingy?

I modified the supplied metal plate, which mounted to the factory SR5 mirror and map light assembly holes. Then the unit mounted to the plate.

Easy as pie :elkgrin:

ahh that makes a lot of sense...i had always thought of mounting it down lower but a roof mount would shade it very well.
