I lost time and motivation to build my custom unit, so i bit the bullet and bought one, and am very glad i did!!!

I usually dont post mods that are "Store Bought" or that are common, but i couldnt resist expressing how damn impressed i am with this thing.

I picked it up used from a fellow 80 owner in Los Alamos and just installed it this weekend.

This is one of the finest pieces of metal work i have ever come across.

Everything about it is perfect to my liking (except for the cheesy hi-lift mount, but that will be fixed soon). This is one VERY stout unit and would recommend it to anyone, install was a snap!

I will be modifying it slightly to intergrate a 2" reciever and an air outlet for a York setup that i am working on

Here are some pics (can you spot the 45 pickup??)

Congrats Kevin!!!

The bumper looks great!

I talked to Brett, he told me you installed the bumper. Apparently you got the bumper from the same guy I got my aux. tank from. Did the bumper come with the aux. light too? I thought Matt sold his 80?

:D

Yeah, small world, he started looking at my truck and commented that he had that tank and sold it to "a lifeguard in san diego" and sure enough it was you

Did the bumper come with the aux. light too?

Yup! :D Why?

I thought Matt sold his 80?

He did, he sold it some a female that didnt have enough $ for the extras so he took off the bumpers and some other stuff, everything else was gone otherwise i woulda bought the ARB Winch bumper and the 12000lb warn he was selling! :( Funny thing was that the woman who bought his rig emailed me to let me know he was selling the bumper, have no clue how she got my name, email or how she knew i wanted it. Weird!

He held the bumper for me for almost a month (without a deposit) until our schedules matched and the stars aligned so we were both free on the same weekend, super nice guy!

ROBB Are you going to the meet and greet? I gotta check something out on your rig!

So I have to ask, since I'm looking at one... How do you like the Hella UltraBeam lamp on the back? :)

No Clue, dont even know what it is. Hella UltraBeam huh? Whats that? Fancy Smancy? I havent hooked it up yet, but will in a week or so. Might swap it out for an amber dustlamp, not sure yet.

Thanks

That's the name they give that fancy square worklamp on your bumper. :) I'll give ya $20 for it if you don't want it. :D

Great setup...I am gearing up to do my 80...Thanks for the inspiration.
I have to ask...who owns the blue 45 in the background of the pic? Please tell me it's yours.

My friend Brett, he was the guy with me at the Climb and Crawl. Its a great truck but HORRENDOUSLY uncomfortable for tall folks! It is one of the cleanest 45 trucks i have seen!
