For my 2002 4Runner I have plans for dual battery tray from www.ruffstuffspecialties.com $80 and the National Luna dual battery solenoid do hick a ma jig from Equipt Expedition Outfitters $150ish. These two items will be completed in the next 2 weeks and will be posted in my 4Runner build thread. I also plan on acquiring a AT Chaser trailer $10K and rear bumper $1200 but in no particular order. While I will try my hardest to stimulate the economy I make no guarantees.

Well, for 09 I will be getting KM2's for the Dodge in a week, hopefully finishing up the OBA system, and get the bed and rockers Linex'd. That should help a bit with stimulating the economy.:smiley_drive:

I'll be interested to see how your dual battery setup goes. Are you talking two in the stock location or what? This has been something I've wanted to do for a while but never got around to figuring a way to secure #2.
I will be focusing on the Land Cruiser for mods this year. Still deciding the configuration...

Yep 2 in 1 if you will. I originally wanted two odysee batteries but they weren't in the budget, and I already had two red optima's I already have them mounted side by side in the bay with some ghetto azz rigging to keep them in place. I purchased http://ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112454 adn they should work w/o problems. The rad. res. had to be relocated in front of the rad. just behind the grill.

I would like to do a few more mods to the Jeep. Winch, gearing, diff covers, steering upgrade.
The big project I need to start is an extended travel, self contained expedition vehicle. We need something with an indoor shower/toilet and cooking facilities. I might try to build something out of my 01 Ram3500 dually diesel (similiar to the Turtle V or original Earthroamer) unless I find something more interesting first, then I would sell the truck.
I'll keep stimulating the economy as long as they let me keep my money!:sombrero:

For the Chevy Colorado:
Full size spare tire. I’ll need to order another H3 rim from ebay and buy the BFG AT 265/75 r16 locally. Just need to double check that this tire will fit in the spare tire area under the bed of the truck.
HID kit for my elcheapo off road lights.
For the FWC Finch:
Dometic DC refrigerator model number tj 18s (http://www.dometic.com/enus/Americas/USA/Marine/Refrigerators/Refrigeration/?productdataid=74830). Already have it. Just waiting for a nice day to install it.
Add second 75 amp hour AGM battery. Already on order.
Finish indoor shower setup. I have all the parts I just need to assemble and test.
Add LED floor light
Replace stock thermostat with digital thermostat
Add digital amp/volt meter. Already have it (leftover from failed wind turbine project) just need to put it in.
Add jerry can holder to the back of the camper. I already have the jerry can just need to figure out the mount details.
Maybe install a radio???

I had toyed with the idea of rewiring the accessories (strobes, 2M, fog lights, OBA, etc.) I have a external fuse and an internal and have forgotten what goes where all except the internal as it has labels.

For me 2009 will bring a new roof rack system, completely replaced bumper and tire carrier (which means I will sell the Demello) and a better bed storage system. Also it looks like I need a new starting battery...
Plus I'm on the lookout for a new commuter car. 2 years with the Audi is enough.

I would like to knock together a rear cargo system for the Discovery. I've got the plywood and lumber ready, and I've been messing about with Google Sketchup for ages. But first the temperature needs to rise, as it's -15C (about 5F) here at the moment.
I also need to install a CB radio in the Disco before our Pyrenees trip this summer.

Need to do Solar Panels on the SMB, along with a roof rack and some other things... but all is on hold for right now until this economy gets straightened out. I need to focus on our company first and mods later. No company equals , no mods and no truck one day.

Just had them installed today, so haven't had an opportunity to try them. I like the design and on road feel so far. They are quiter than the original M/T's. They put 35# of air at the shop in them and it feels a bit "mushy" when driving, so I am going to up the pressure to about 44 and see how that feels. Heading to Lake Tahoe next week and if it snows while we are there, I'll hopefully get an impression on how they handle in the white stuff.

Well it's only the second month of the new year and about 1/2 the list is complete though the cheapest mods they will be appreciated. I successfully installed the dual battery tray and NL solenoid found here.

I also opted for OME N85's to go with my new rear upper shock mounts and found them to ride better than the Procomp 9000's. The upper shock mounts on the 4Runner are a stud mount and extremely different to tighten as there is barely any room for a hand and wrench. I had universal shock mounts for a XJ welded over the mount so that eye to eye shocks could be used instead of eye to stud.

Thanks.

OK, put over 600 miles on the KM2's last week. Went from snow in Tahoe to down pours in Santa Cruz. So far , I am pleased with how they handled in these conditions. I did not have to lock it in, but in Tahoe the snow was enough that cars had chains and these things let me truck right on . In the rain, they feel like they hold the road real well. I would give the skinny pedal a little blip to see if I could fish tail the truck and it stuck its ground. So far, so good.:victory:
Now to see if over the long term I can get the 60,000 miles out of them..but I won't hold my breath, they seem to be made with a softer compund the the originals.

No just because that is not in the scope of my abilities as a rattle can artist, while it would look better I just don't know how or really have the time. These will be painted mounted and balanced by noon Monday.

So the LX450 wheels weren't on the list but for the cost I coudn't go wrong. As many of you know I had my Hannibal Roof Rack on here for sale and while it didn't sell I decided to go a different way with it. I always love it and treated it like my own child but something about the Hannibal screamed step child. I think the overall width was a bit much on the 4Runner, while not wider than the widest point of the 4Runner it just didn't always look like it belonged. So after a sleep on it in my head I went to a local fab guy and tols him what I wanted to do.
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e31/xcmountain/4Runner/Roof%20Tent/P3215370-1-1.jpg
This is it in a nutshell the remove 4 cross section each side 3 5/8" width per side then reweld side wing to center rack less the 3 5/8" pieces. So if my math's right
(3 5/8*2)-(53".original width)= 45 3/4". newwidth.

Adding a Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD as my ipod controller only works 70% of the time and a new one is just over 1/3 of the cost of a new head unit.

Plus the new head unit will give me the ability to monitor my new baby in the back seat via video inputs, use of a rear backup camera and the like. I ordered some FrontRunner fuel Jerry can holders from CampingLab as I didn't even know he was a FrontRunner dealer until I was looking on his site, cool.

I've given the modification design and construction crews the year off. Possibly two years off since next year my truck will turn 50 years old. My focus for now and hopefully next year is driving and seeing what is over the next hill.
I've had the maintenance crew busy earlier this year. New alternator, all new wiring for the charging circuit to replace the old. Replaced the front left leaky fuel tank with a new one. New thermostat & retiming the engine. Replaced the auxiliary battery.
The only thing on the maintenance crew's list is to rebuild or replace the clutch/brake assembly on my Mercury winch before my Land Rover's 50th birthday.
But I guess for now and through 2010, my focus is driving
