well here are some pics from richloam yesterday. It was amazingly dry. There was alot of dry trails for once and it was odd being there in the day time. I have never been stuck so many times in one trip. THe consistence of the mud/clay was like wet cement. It was horrible. There were several holes that still had 4' of water, but not as many as usual. I will post more later but these are a few that a guy named Paul took. He brought out his 5 week old FJ crauiser for it's and his first wheeling trip. He was a pro photographer and took alot of pics of the day.

The first muddy spot.

Oh I almost forgot I broke my winch. On the ramsey unit they have a collar that rotates and there is a small lever on it to operate it. While winching out a jeep I went to switch the lever and the hande pulled out of the collar. It is a small nut molded intot he composite collar. This is a major PITA since the whole bumper needs to come off to get it out. Then I need to get ahold of ramsey to figure out what can be done.

wow well that was quick. I called ramsey after posting. Parts are on the way I should have them in a few days. Nw I get the honor of pulling off that beastly front bumper and figuring out how to tear down the winch LOL. Should ba full days work but I can't complain. That winch has been run hard and not one failure to date. It still works but I have to power it out which is not good. I'll post pics of the repair inmy trucks folder once I get started on it.

:lurk:
I guess you proved the need for a snorkle once again!

Great pics, and the FJ looked like it did pretty well also.
