Scott, I know that they have an industry party Saturday night that's usually in the Sheraton ballroom. Not sure on this year because some of the party goers last year were a bit too rowdy for the hotel staff and the hotel management complained to Advanstar about it. I'll keep you posted and I'll see you there sometime Saturday afternoon?

YO, Scott and other dudes...is this happening? I assume it is...since I live in the immediate area, I can make some suggestions for restaurants (Mex, Japanese) with parking lots...easier to park and look at other rigs...unless you have some place in mind, Scott. What's our timetable?

Scott Brady
10-03-2006, 04:23 AM
It is happening :)

I will be driving from Palm Desert on Saturday night and will be camping (or find a hotel) somewhere along the way.

The show starts at 9:00 and goes until 5:00. I will be there all day and will be busy.

After 5:00, I am set for dinner. I dont have many suggestions, though there is a great little Italian place in Claremont called La Picoleta (sp?). I am game for anything though.

I am also up for a few drinks afterwards, but would likely need a yard to set the tent up in if things get too late.

Vince, any suggestions for dinner?

Hey, you guys. In between all your partying and having a good time check out the SCORE table. They're supposed to be passing out course maps for the B1K. Will someone, please, see if the course is, indeed, coming south from Puertecitos to El Crucero. SCORE may get the map posted on their website this week, but just in case....

Thanks.

anybody that's going to dinner have any type of food they will NOT eat?

I'm guessing nobody is really picky...I could eat anything  my wife on the other hand, could go without seafood or asian places - unless they have steak.

So is anybody planning on buying anything at the expo, they have killer deals on select items. I think I want to upgrade my viar 400 to a extremeaire  100% duty cycle @ 4cfm, those numbers blow me away!

It's funny how you know that area better than I do and you live in another state...

I looked up Pinnacle Peak and man, it sounds good right about now.

Just don't wear a tie...here's why (http://www.pinnaclepeaksteakhouse.com/frameset.html) (click on "no ties allowed")

And it's not too far...directions (http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&qq=hltF3hzNT9tNhURP0HLlhh9UYBmHRqyBceg4Gkon14D8uew Lk7pjHQ%253d%253d&ct=NA&rsres=1&1y=US&1ffi=1&1l=HEXVtKEr7opnt4akTcOYhg%3D%3D&1g=VPg23zEuJeLtRuJ36cK0Pw%3D%3D&1pl=909-623-3711&1v=ADDRESS&1n=&1pn=L+A+County+Fair-Fairplex+Expos&1a=1101+W+Mckinley+Ave&1c=Pomona&1s=CA&1z=91768&2y=US&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&2pn=&2a=269+W.+Foothill+Blvd&2c=San+Dimas&2s=&2z=91773&r=f)

Any other suggestions, VV? anybody?
