Kudos to Alaskan for trying something new.
When was the last "new" Alaskan model rolled out? Late 70's?
Looks big to me but I like the layout for a non cab-over model.

New to ExPo, but a fan of the non-cabover Alaskan Camper! After reading the article, I have to tell you .... They don't come much finer than Bryan Wheat (now President of Alaskan Campers). Bryan took the time to answer my numerous questions & returned my call this past Christmas while purchasing the 1968 non-cabover on the California Coast. He continues to return emails & his and Alaskan's customer service is "Over the Top!"
I didn't spend any money with them when I bought used - But, I might someday soon without hesitation!:)

Bryan at Alaskan is a pretty nice guy and is very approachable answering all the questions I ever had. BTW, I noticed they are putting the Nova-Kool in the new camper, they are pretty sweet. Mine has run now stop now for a year and keeps steady temps even when the outside air is over 100 degrees. A must for the beer!

I just downsized from 07 Tundra and bought an 08 Tacoma. So, I am going to sell my old 10ft full size Alaskan. I was looking at the mini and want to give my constructive criticism. First off, why no cab over bed? Secondly, there is no way we are going to buy a camper where we have to sleep apart. Really? And third, isnt the price tag a bit ridiculous?
It just seems to me a lot of thought didnt go into this and they are hoping that people will pay the ridiculous amount simply because of the name brand.

1. I would guess no cab over to help keep the weight down. It's fairly heavy for a Tacoma as is. 2. I'm sure the bed setup is only going to apeal to certain people, but with no cab over it doesn't leave many options. 3. An item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.:)

1. I just got done patenting and copywriting it. But 2. don't worry, you can use it for free. 3. Scott Brady has to pay me the royalties since it's on his site.

1. Tundra to Tacoma = You are going to regret it 2. Seems like you can eliminate the Alaskan from your selection. That leaves you a only a few more choices before you realize the Tacoma is not fit for a camper without serious mods 3. Where is Mikey??

1) I've gotten a chuckel out of this. 2) Is alaskan campers still in buisness, their site looks really outdated 3) Although not my ideal layout there isn't a ton to be down with a rear entry NCO camper and I can easily see this appealing to hunting partners who don't want to snuggle up. :sombrero:
