No affiliation, but VERY nice:

Worth taking a look at, just because of the build quality.

Very nice!
Some great features like the internal roll cage.
I am surprised at the price though.

Wow, super clean. It's all the little details that just really make the camel trucks oh so cool.

He wants it to be a collector's piece though, screw that. I couldn't own a truck like that and not wheel it, all the while with visions of african and south american expedition grandeur.

Its condition is definitely unique among the ex-Camel vehicles I've seen for sale. So is the buy-it-now price. I'll be interested to see what the reserve is.

I'm curious how he got it registered for road use in the U.S. with the turbodiesel.

Edit: It's gone.

Totally cool. The only thing I can think of that would be cooler would be a Camel Trohpy 110 in that kind of condition.

Reserve wasn't met, so I wonder if he will post it again. If I were him I would keep that one and sell one of his Defenders...

I wouldn't buy it myself, and for this reason alone:hehe:

If you look closely i think you'll see it's the same number CT 20, on closer inspection maybe not, but still they put those things through hell, i know i have the DVD Camel Trophy "The Landrover Years"

While they do appear to have the same number, those are actually two different trucks. The one on eBay is from the 97 event, while the one in that photo is from the 95 Mundo Maya Event (how big of a dork am I?). Some of the support vehicles got reused from year to year, like the Com truck, but the competition trucks were new every year.

Actually the Mongolia event was kind of a weenie event (first year of the extreme sports focus) so those trucks were probably in better condition than the other years.

Agree, agree, agree and agree, except maybe the Greek vehicle because they rolled theirs in one of the mid-term special tasks.

$50K...great deal if it came with a 2004 or newer Toyota UZJ100 Land Cruiser!

But I keep mine in the UK. I'd be really interested in knowing how the one in the eBay ad got into the US!
