It is my last free weekend until December, so I'm going to go find some rocks. Which trail will depend on who is going. I am open for suggestions if anyone is interested in joining.

Word of caution though! The trails I am considering are Upper Ajax, Martinez, Axle Alley, etc (leaning towards Martinez). This will be a sliders and locker run.

Who wants to go? (c'mon...you know you wanna!)

FYI... AZTTORA is going to be doing BAOM (a trip for all those that can not go to the MOAB event that weekend assuming OCT 7th)...

At least BAOM doesn't look like it will have a huge turnout. I was hoping to get back there before the trails get crouded as the weather cools off.

I'd love to join but I'll be in Moab.

I assume you really mean 10-07-06 for your Florence Run, would love to go but already have made plans to run the GAP that day. Sorry. If it doesn't pan out your more than welcome to join us.

The Gap is the back-up run. If the TTORA thing gets big, or something else happens....

Of course, what I *should* be doing that weekend is wrapping up the jeep-mods before the ExTrophy.

FYI---the run has been changed to Sunday, and Martinez is the trail of choice.

I thought there was a big tree blocking the trail at Martinez. I heard people have driven around it, but that is a source of fuel for BLM to close that trail. There was a thread recently on MUD about the damage at the Martinez cabins and the tree blocking the trail.

Also keep in mind that the Tucson RoughRiders are holding their annual Trail Dust Days this weekend. Most trail at FJ and the Gap will have large groups on sanctioned runs.

The tree in question has been removed, and the illegal bypass has been blocked (with the tree). At least this is the word from folks who have recently ran the trail.

TRR does not have any runs planned on Sunday. They have their awards hoo-yah at 10am, and their raffle at 10:30am....so there probably won't be any of those folks on the trail. They are running Martinez on Saturday though.

BTW, won't be able to make it. Gears won't be in until next week. :(

Last Call!!!!

Tomorrow morning....Martinez Canyon....one of the most scenic trails in the area! The view from the top is absolutely stunning! Stock height Tacoma's have been through this trail with no difficulty.

You know you wanna go!

We will be retracing this route (http://www.expeditionswest.com/adventures/2004/martinez_2004/index.html).
