tranny slipping

Hey all, i have a 2000 4runner with an Auto tranny and its starting to slip but it only happens when i step on the brake a semi hard. not harder than i should just hard enough to come to a complete stop i about 100 feet. it seems it takes a bit to catch up and eventually it always does. any ideas what it could be? any input is helpful thanks!!

Have you checked the fluid level? It may be time for some new ATF, a drain and fill would be a good start, it isn't going to hurt anything.

Ok will do. Im just worried its somethin worse! it feels pretty bad
