I am debating on which Hella lights to get for back-up/ utility duty.

The 2 candidates are:

The Hella Double Worklamp (P/N - H15991041)
https://www.expeditionexchange.com/hella/DSC04057.jpg
Info taken from Expedition Exchange:
"Each Double Worklamp comes standard with two 55w H3 halogen bulbs and mounting hardware. This Double Worklamp is ideal when a great deal of light is required by space is too limited to fit two separate worklamps. The Double Worklamp can be mounted upright or pendant, and the glass lens can be inverted to suit either application. All Double Worklamps are sold individually and do not include a wiring harness, relay, or switch. This is because this Worklamp will be mounted in a wide variety of ways and no factory wiring harness could ever accommodate each application."

&

The Hella Ultra Beam FF Worklamp (P/N - H15506021)
https://www.expeditionexchange.com/hella/DSC03553.jpg
Info taken from Expedition Exchange:
"Each Ultra Beam FF Worklamp comes standard with one 55w H3 halogen bulb and mounting hardware. This Ultra Beam FF Worklamp is ideal for tight places or when a smaller worklamp is desired for dual-worklamp applications where two worklamps would appear crowded or silly flanking each other. Mount design permits aiming in all directions. The Ultra Beam FF Worklamp can be mounted upright or pendant, and the glass lens can be inverted to suit either application. All Ultra Beam FF Worklamps are sold individually and do not include a wiring harness, relay, or switch. This is because this Worklamp will be mounted in a wide variety of ways and no factory wiring harness could ever accommodate each application."

My questions are:
1) Does anyone here have any experience with either of these lights? What did you like/dislike about them? Which would you recommend them?
2) What are the dimenstions of these lights?

I will probably have more questions later.

Thanks!

I just got one of the double lamps, but it has a different lens/reflector setup that spreads the light a bit more. It's available on rallylights.com, as are detailed dimension info. That sucker is bright with both bulbs illuminated.

I like the double light for the redundancy. Also, my plan is to setup one bulb to come on automatically when I shift into reverse (with a kill switch to keep from blinding people), and the other to be a purely manual option. The double seems like a better option to me for just a couple bucks more.

I have 2 double hella set up on top of my yakima cross bars-love it-
seems like I always arrive at night and it's great to set up camp at almost sunlight power!
it's great to load up the kayaks after a night paddling too!

I have a Hella double mounted on the back of a Garvin Wilderness rack. Works really well, lots of light and easy to mount. Got mine from EE. Like it very much.

You guys are right, the dual bulb light is much better.
