Just wondering if anyone else has had any shift issues with their Tacoma.
Recently it feels like my truck hesitates to shift into third gear a bit. RPMs run a little high before third is engaged?-----anyone have a solution or fix to this issue.---Maybe a tune-up?---Thanks.

Check your transmission fluid. Make sure it's not burnt and ensure the fluid level is sufficient according to your manual.

Yep, check fluid levels and condition first. That will often resolve the issue

Yes, I agree with checking the transmission fluid.
However, for me this is a common occurance when the truck is cold and the outside temp drops. For example, this morning it was a chilly 2C on the way to work and the first few times I brought the speed up it tries to hold second gear much longer than normal. It is very noticable for the first few minutes of driving and then goes away.
