Hey everyone,
My name's Brian and I just found out about this site yesterday. Needless to say, I am overwhelmed by the amount of topics and rides in here dedicated to serious off-road adventures. Great website.
I own a 2006 Toyota Tacoma double cab TRD Off Road and am planning on setting it up to go anywhere. As of now, it's bone stock but I'm sure once I start reading more on here, the truck will be ready to hit the trails with the best of you.
Here's a few of pics of my truck:

Future mods include a lift or level kit, 33" tires, rims, and fiberglass fenders and bedsides along with the necessary tools for expeditions.

Thanks for the welcome!
Really glad I found this site, I've seen some pretty sweet rides on here already.
Yes, my wallet is somewhat prepared for the beating, but it's used to it. I've been messing with cars ever since I started driving, but I seriously believe I'll have this one 'til it can't go anymore. So yes, it is worth it.
I live in Hillsboro, OR, just a few miles west of Portland. Close to the beach, the mountains and the gorge. I have a new found love in Bend, really wish I could live in that area of the state. But it's just a short drive from home, and what's the point of having a nice truck if you can't drive it and explore.
Out of curiosity, can someone give me a heads up on the price of one of the tents that pop open on the truck?
Oh yeah, just thought I'd share that this is my third Toyota in a year. The other two are gone, unfortunately one was totalled. Here's a couple more pics to show:
My '04 4x4 5 speed, barely had 25k on it when it was totalled, only owned for 1 1/2 months.

and my '91 4x4 5 speed, traded this and my Mustang GT for the '04.

might as well show the Stang.

Wow, had something similar happen to me a few years ago. Had three trucks in a year. The second one was totalled after a drunk ran me off the road. Only had it for a few weeks.
I think most people who have lived in Oregon all have a love for the Bend area, but having the Gorge to the east and the coast to the west is fantastic too.

Welcome to ExPo! I think you'll like it here. The roof top tents (RTT's) run anywhere from about $700 to over $2K depending on the size and model. I am saving my pennies now for one.
