Great looking idea, wonder how much that weighs?

Interesting design....wonder how much space the "inner" shell eats up?

I saw one of these in Death Valley last March, hmm it was on a white F150 too. Maybe the same one? I didn't get to see inside it.

Anyhow, some more info on this thread (http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3658)

Something like this would be the next logical step for my dodge project. I came up with a similar idea using a soft side tent and side pivot on my existing topper to gain some head room.

I like this camper because its relativity light and looks just like a normal cab high truck topper when down. It is also hard sided which is much nicer for rainy and snowy weather!

The next evolution of this idea for me would be a unit that used this concept but added a false bedside to the equation. Perhaps something that retained the lines of the stock bed/body but had doors to access the wasted interior space between the outer bed skin and where the start of a slide in camper would be. This is a LOT of potential wasted space!

Overall I want a pickup with a camper that looks like a pickup with a topper, but with lots of storage. Blending in most of the time is GOOD!

Why do I have visions of a little green man walking down the stairs and greeting me? :Wow1:
