Someone at another site, that a lot of us like to vist, helped put a map like this up....so I thought I would get one started here.....since they are having so much fun with it. This might even help coordinate some trips by knowing who lives in and around you. Have FUN! :coffee:

Well, girls, I have to confess that picture of Rob that is in Daktaried's photo is, well, a bit old. Rob's now 15 years old and this is what he looks like when he wakes up in the morning . . . takes him a while to remember where the tongue goes, the lips, the ears . . .

We were making our way South through Namibia last year and stopped at a place called Hammerstein to camp for the night. It was pretty late and dark, so we couldn't see much when we set up camp. Next morning as I was getting out of the tent I heard this weird squealing noise from behind a bush. Our friend Slade came running around the bush, red faced and unable to contain his laughter. I got coffee and went around the bush and there at the fence was Squealer, the zebra. Very friendly guy at first. You could pet him, but then he would make a lunge and try to take your hand off, all the while squealing like a pig. Slade gave him a rusk, and I was in the process of giving him another when the pic was taken. I've attached some more pics of the encounter.

Wow, small world. Louisville is a fine place, much better than Boulder! We live a block off Main st in old town, so have 5 or 6 restaurants and coffee shops within 3 blocks of the house. And yet it is still quiet -- except when I have the angle grinder out! :D

While growing up my brother's friend had a pet Zebra in WI. What a sight, to see in the middle of WI! Those are some great Zebra pictures!
