Hello there...I tried to find a thread out there on this topic. I am sure there is one...I am in the beginning stages of researching my next expedition vehicle. I have always liked the SMB concept. However, a friend told me a little about placing a popup type camper in the back of a truck. Makes sense to me...I was on wondering if anyone can shed some light on the pros and cons of either setup for me. My wife and I enjoy camping of the beaten path. So, 4wheel drive and high clearance is a must. We roughly camp 50-60 nights a year. We live here in Utah, so the red rock desert is the place we normally go.
I am a little familiar with the prices for the SMB. However, what would you recommend for a truck/popup camper? Price...
