Hi, Just bought a new truck and found these in the back for mounting bikes. One has to remove the front tire and then mount the fork into this bracket. Anyone know what the real name of this bracket is and roughly what it is worth new?
Here is something similar from Yakima.

They work very well.
I had mine mounted long ago to a railroad tie in the back of my '90 Toyota Xtracab truck.
Later I moved to three Yakima Lockjaw systems up on the canopy and roof of the rig.

The one pictured is not a bike tight, unless it's really old and one of their first versions. Most of there's say bike tight on them and have a much different design. I think the version you have is made by Rhode Gear. I would say it's not worth more than $10.
