I am going to take the bench seat (from Toyota 4x4) out of Mayahual and replace it with bucket seats. I have several junk yards near me to pick and choose from, but I'm not sure what car I should extract them from.
Any suggestions?????

I'm not sure how much you want to spend but 80's Toyota trucks and Runners had great bucket seats, my 88 4Runner had seats comparable to the TRD seats in my 05. These can be had fairly cheap. After that the seats in Toyotas went downhill IMO until the 05 year though.

I swapped out the bench from my '85 Toyota pickup for leather buckets from a '92 4Runner. They lined up perfect and I only had to drill one hole. 6 way adjustable, good lateral and lumbar support, no complaints.
For a good pick 'n pull option I would also look at Volvo seats. Very popular swap with reg cab w/bench seat truck owners. Don't know if you'd want heated leather but it's a nice option. Other common selections I see include Honda Prelude and Accord bucket seats and the Nissan Quest, a mini van but apparently the seats are great.

Not really sure about fitting, but I would look for a set of Recaros from a Volkswagen GLI or 3-series BMW.

SCORE!!!
I just got the Recaro's out of a '99 GLI, Black sides with red and gray pattern in the center (fabric in good shape). $120 for the paid + $7.53 for upolstery cleaner.
I'll post a picture once they're cherried out.
Thanks everybody!!!

Yep, those are the ones. Great find, I've been looking for a set (though not very seriously) for a long time. $120 for a pair is less than they are selling per seat on ebay.

Here is a picture of the mocked up seats in the Mayahual. I've decided to wait until I've fab'd up the mounting hardware on the underside of the seats before I get them professionally cleaned (they have better chemicals I hear).
