Hello all,

First post here, really enjoying all the info in the forum.

Lot of helpful people.

I have an 04 TJ Rubicon 2" OME HD lift no BL or MML.

Thinking about the GY MTR's or MT KM2's with this size tire. Any bbody running them?

I like the look of the "skinny" tires. Was also thinking about the 265/75 r16 tires but am concerned about rubbing. I don't really do rockcrawling, mainly camping out here in baja.

Any body have experience with this size on their jeep?

Any and all info appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to ExPo!

I can't speak for Jeeps, but I love these tires on my Tacoma. Not only do they look cool and expedition-y, there is a good, very technical argument for tall skinny tires here (http://www.expeditionswest.com/research/white_papers/tire_selection_rev1.html).

Seems like that would be way too narrow a tire for 8" wide wheels. IMO you should consider switching to 16x7

Thanks Dustboy,

By the way what size rims do you have?

255/85 KM2s, they may be tight on your existing setup but you could probably fit them with some trimming.
I imagine either OME spring spacers or a BL/MML would clear them perfectly.

Add a 1" BL and MML and then run 255/85/16s. 235s will look way to skinny IMHO.

Here's my '05 with KM2s at 255/85/R16s with a 3" lift. No rubbing issues.
