Has anyone used a stove like these?

I was doing gasification research for work and ran across these. Seems like a neat little stove, but I have never heard of them before.

Thoughts, Experiences?

I've never knowingly used a gasification stove, but I have one of these and it is either one of them in a simple form, or very similar:

specifically:

"Because of its unique design which uses a double wall around the firebox to preheat secondary combustion air, you will find that you can burn wood as cleanly as a candle."

Sounds similar? I have to say it is an excellently crafted device and I love the fact that I don't have to carry fuel and what is burnt is minimal. It does blacken the pots however. An expensive but great addition to a car emergency kit where I live (you're always near wood and water). Burns dried clumps of grass too.

I'm quite curious about the use of gasification from the show "The Colony", where they used it to power a generator:
