Who uses them and which brands/models do you like?
I'm leaning towards the Philips USA Model 7FF1M4/37 (http://www.buy.com/prod/Philips_USA_7FF1M4_7_Photo_Modern_Frame_with_4_Int erchangeable_Color/q/loc/57548/203171638.html) but most places are sold out. Interested in giving as a gift, so it must be very user-friendly to use. Thanks.

oops, a little late........
Digital picture frames are great. I have always seen them around, but never gave em much thought, untill I received one as a gift for christmas.
I received a Pandigital 5.6" frame with 64mb on board. I can either drop in 1 of 5 types of memory cards or connect via usb and load pictures. It will also play short videos or music. The screen on my frame is fairly low resolution 320x234. The photo frame also included a remote. It's a perfect way to share your digital photos. They are easy to use, pop in a memory card and thats it. You can access menus and control many other options such as picture timing and special effects.
I am not familiar with any of the other brands, but excellent gift choice.:26_7_2:
Overall, after receiving one as a gift,I would recommend one to anyone, especially if you show off your photos like me by conducting "mini slide shows" using the camera's lcd screen, when people want to see your pictures.
