I am looking for some convertable pants that A) are not too exspensive and B) not a nylon (or "swishy") type fabric.

I ran across these on Bass Pro Shops site and this look like they may fit the bill. They are cotton canvas type material.

Basically will use them only when out camping, not for everyday use. They remind me of my cargo pants but with the added benefit of becoming shorts. Would be nice for the desert when days can be warm but nights cold. Price is $30-$35.

Any thoughts???

I have no experience with that specific style but I have two pair of Redhead khaki pants that I bought last year on a trip out of town because i forgot to pack pants on a trip. They are my favorite and most comfortable pants at the moment. If the pants you are interested in are anything like the Redheads I have you will be very pleased.

Thanks for the info. It would be nice if they were the same material as the ones you have.

I've had good luck with a wide range of Redhead clothing from BPS.
