I replaced my old LED rock lights with these cool lites from Off Road Only: http://www.myfjcruiser.org/2742/litespots-rock-lights-reviewed-and-installed/

These are pretty cool. I like the fact that they are completely sealed and have an embedded magnet to tweak placement before permanently mounting them with traditional hardware. Good find!

If the magnets hold well enough I may not mount with the screw.

what did you have for rock lights before? I've been eyeing these (http://www.oznium.com/marine-led-light) up recently . . .

I'm running 10 LiteSpots under my Tundra. If the magnets will keep them in place under my junk I'd say they're safe for just about anything.........

Reviving the thread to see how these are holding up.

Good to hear, I'm debating between these and the Vision X tantrum's.

Same with mine... No problems and I like the way I can move them around.

I was too, but I think I'm sold now. I'm going with the LiteSPOT's. I didn't like the remote control / lowrider effects of the tantrum's. I much rather have them hooked up with a simple switch. Also, the magnetic mount will make it easy to fine tune their placement.

I've actually got all of mine wired to a relay under the hood that's operate with a key fob.

I like being able to turn on the lights from the tentcot so I can see where everything's at when I go out :).

Tomas, I would like to see these lights, but they are not showing up for me at work with Firefox, and they are not showing up on my Motorola Droid either for some reason.

Mine have been through pure hell for over a year and I've never had one even think about coming off, you can hardly pull them off on purpose because the magnets are so strong........they won't "fall" off if they are stuck to a metal surface.

I put in my order yesterday. Your recommendation was in part, one of the deciding factors as I know you don't baby your rig. These will be key for me wheeling over the summer in AZ... night runs to beat the heat. :sunny:

Thanks for posting the pics of mounting locations, exactly what I needed to see. On a side note, you guys with rock lights, it's better to just wire everything to one switch so that they all come on together, giving a spotter a full view around the base of the vehicle.

That's how I wired them, all on at once. They won't be so bright that it's blinding, more like subtle light.......call it mood lighting if you will :D. That's why I like mine on the key fob, they're perfect for giving the campsite a little light without disturbing the neighbors.

For placement, I just laid under my rig on a creeper for about an hour moving them around and scheming where they would survive and not be removed by rocks, yet still place light where it needed to be. I started with eight, but then ordered two more to fill out under my truck.....a 132" wheelbase can be a challenge at times :).
